A golden pagoda at Shwedagon Paya, a dazzling Buddhist temple complex that attracts pilgrims from all over the world and a true landmark of the city of Yangon. Even though it is no longer the nation's official capital, Yangon remains Myanmar's largest and most commercially important city, with a population of over five million.
