Diplodocus skull fossil. Fossilised skull of the sauropod dinosaur Diplodocus carnegiei. This is the skull that corresponds to the replica Diplodocus carnegiei skeleton on display at the Natural History Museum, London, UK. The slender teeth would have raked leaves from branches. The nostrils were on the top of its head. Diplodocus lived 154 to 150 million years ago, during the Jurassic Period.
