1936 Harley Davidson EL Knucklehead motorcycle


United States, 61 ci, 40 hp, top speed 100 mph. In 1932 Harley Davidson created its first new V twin design since 1911, the Model EL affectionately known as the Knucklehead because the valve covers look like a fist with raised knuckles The EL had a new frame, new overhead valve engine, modern circulating lubrication system and many design elements used to this day in Harley Davidsons. The EL achieved many long distance and endurance milestones and a top speed of 136 mph. It remained in production for 11 years.
