Its delicate beauty outshines all others, while its vigorous, hardy, and free-flowering nature places it at the very bead of the list. It is evidently a sport, as it was first found in a large patch of Speciosum rubrums some twelve years ago. Its great size and lovely color at once made it recognized as a prize, and it has been carefully cultivated and propagated to this time. The plant is a strong, vigorous grower, as hardy and robust as an old Tiger Lily. Flower very large, enormous, while its color is a pearly- white, delicately shadowed with a soft pink blush, and freely spotted with dots of a deep rosy-scarlet, which stand out on the delicate surface of the petals like gems. The beautiful L. pune- tatum is nothing in comparison to the regal beauty of this sort. The delicate frostwork on the inside of the petals is very pro- nounced and sparkling, and at the base of each petal deepens in ; Extra large bulbs, § each; § per dozen. LILIUM AURATUM. The Golden=Banded Lily of Japan. This is justly entitled to the name often given it—The Queen of Lilies—as it is decidedly the most beautiful of all Lilies. The immense blooms—measuring nearly a foot in width when fully expanded—are produced in the greatest profusion, and are delv- ciously fragrant.
