Demonstration Mission 1 Dragon 2 capsule at SpaceX's LC-39A Horizontal Integration Facility at Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA. Dragon 2 is a class of reusable spacecraft in development by American aerospace manufacturer SpaceX. Demonstration Mission 1 will be the first orbital test of the Dragon 2 spacecraft and is scheduled for launch on March 2, 2019. It will test the approach and automated docking procedures with the International Space Station (ISS), remain docked for a few weeks, then conduct re-entry, splashdown and recovery steps to test the craft for flights transporting humans to the ISS.
