The technical sergeant said she learned a lot from the Japanese saying she was specifically impressed by how their senior leaders work right along with their Airmen. “I can see they lead by example and I can take that as a strength because it works for them, because their subordinates respect them,” she said. Koku-Jieitai is the traditional term for Japan Air Self Defense Force used by the Japanese.
