Thepowers of this convention, however, were not clearly defined,and there was no permanent organization such as now exists intin shape of the Executive Board, which is the executive of theFraternity between the sessions of the Grand Chapter. Theconventions met from time to time and organized by the electionof a President and Secretary and a list of Vice-Presidents, onefrom each chapter. These officers performed the usual clerical.
