So we ran down the stairs and out to the field Where the trees and the bushes served as a shield And ample protection from enemies near. We lay there and shivered trying to hide, Til at length came the truck that started our ride. Then to Wellesley we traveled exceedingly fast And there our ride ended for wed voted at last.
