Kil station is located on Storgatan in central wedge. There are three platforms where trains depart from. These are reached via a track transition. There is also a bus stop outside the station house entrance. The current station, a two -storey house in brick, was put into operation in 1879 in connection with the advent of the Bergslager's railways (BJ). In 1920 the house was expanded with residential apartments. Since then, only internal changes have been made. The station house has two entrances. In the station house there is today a waiting room with toilets, café and a ticket machine.
