WOMANS CHRISTIAN TEMPER-ANCE UNION. The Womans Christian Temper-ance union has held four very inter-esting meetings, that deserve specialmention. Mrs. E. S. Ferry gave a Bible read-ing on the words Our Father. Thiswas most sympathetic and interesting,and those who were present were verymuch pleased. The meeting in the in-terests of Press work was opened by apaper on the Power of the Pressby the local superintendent of Presswork. The county superintendent read twopapers on How Our Forefathers gotthe News and How the W. C. T. the Press. We also had twopapers and a poem from the Ex-change R(:t ksvCF, U-n Jl Dr. Crothers gave up a most inter-esting and instructive talk upon thescientific aspect of the alcohol habitand heredity. Dr. Crothers is eminent-ly fitted to speak upon the subject andhas had a wide experience with thevictims of the great curse. Miss Jessie Ackerman, who so de-lighted three large audiences in Feb-ruary returned to us and
