Chauncey Wright was born in Litchfield count}-,Conn., in 1791. and when quite young accompaniedhis parents to Otsego county, X. Y., where he waseducated in the district schools. He became a clothdresser by trade, although he had learned coming to Pennsylvania in 1815, he purchasedland in Choconut \ alley, and there erected a homein which he continued to live until 1842, when hepurchased land of Brown & ECnapp, in Forest Lake,and in [846 erected a grist mill which he ran until1868, when he turned the mill work over to his sons,
