The repetitive and symmetrical pattern consists of a straight down hanging stem with a calyx or stylized tulip at the bottom. The central stem is flanked by wavy stems (s-shaped), with a smaller cup-shaped flower at each end and a small rosette flower at the base. The motifs are made in linen with openwork edges. There is hardly any ground, but the piece does show a first step towards the development of grating grounds. The top of the strip is finished straight
