The superior quality of these cartridges is not the result of chance, but arises from the fact that theChamberlin Cartridge Machine is so constructed that every charge of powder and shot is measured withmechanical accuracy, and the wads, which are made especially for use in these machines, are of uniformthickness, and placed upon the powder and shot with a suitable and unvarying pressure, an advantage whichcannot be secured by any other method of loading cartridges.
