The cap A carries a steel needle W for firing thedetonator. Two small indents are formed on thecap to engage vi-ith the groove M on the body B. Theraised lips are to allow the cap A to clear the indicatingknobs when the cap is being placed or removed fromthe body of the grenade. 6. Two raised lips are to allow the cap A to moveforward when the cap is turned into its firing position, thelips being raised sufficiently to clear the stop , this only being possible when the cap is in the firingposition.
