Fishing from the rocks in English Bay by North Point on Ascension Island

Ascension Island is an extremely isolated and relatively young oceanic island. It lies about 8 degrees south of the Equator and is approximately mid way across the Atlantic Ocean from Africa to South America. The island is Km from north to south and 14 Km from west to east and has an area of 97 square Km with extremely rugged volcanic terrain. The rugged, rocky coastline offers many opportunities for fishing and here, in English Bay, there is a perfect platform for this. It is in fact used by the RAF Subaqua Club for their activities but can also be used by fishing enthusiasts.
