Air Force Col. Daniel Lasica, former 20th Fighter Wing commander, presents the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) to Capt. Salvador A. Cruz, 79th Fighter Squadron instructor pilot, at Shaw Air Force Base, , June 7, 2018. Cruz earned the award by providing four close air-to-ground weapon employments which led to saving the lives of 88 coalition soldiers.
