Northampton NHS Protest march by group of 11 mums from Darlington, they are marching 300 miles, across the country taking the same route as the Jarrow March of 78 years ago from Jarrow to London. It is to raise awareness of the privatisation of the NHS and highlight the damage that will be caused by the Health and Social Care Act. The march will be ending in the capital (London) on September 6. Northampton’s Conservative-Run Council have refused to meet the Non-party Political Peoples March for the NHS and also turned down £1, worth of room hire for the Guildhall, for the group to meet in.
