The Dwarfie Stone or Dwarfie Stane Orkney, Scotland as it was in 1908. Today it looks little different to this old photograph when a dwarf named Trollid was formerly believed to have resided The megalithic chambered tomb is carved out of a single block of Devonian Old Red Sandstone and stands on the island of Hoy, Orkney, Scotland. It is the only chambered tomb in Orkney that is cut from a single block of stone. The block of stone seen in the picture originally blocked the entrance. A pre-17th century hole that had been cut into the top by robbers is now filled with concrete.
