The Halifax-Dartmouth ferry is operated by Metro Transit to carry passengers to and from the ferry terminal on the waterfront in downtown Halifax and the two Dartmouth terminals in Alderney and Woodside. A one-way trip is between 12 and 15 minutes between Halifax and Alderney, depending on weather and harbour traffic.
