Stone commemorating baptism site of Particular Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon

The 19th century Particular Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon was baptised in the River Lark near Isleham Cambridgeshire. Baptisms continued her and then at nearby Isleham sluice until 1970 when stagnant water caused those baptised to emerge less fragrantly from the water than they entered it.
