London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 3rd June, 2021. The first re-launched flight from Southend Airport to Faro in Portugal has departed, late, following Ryanair's resumption of flights from the Essex airport, despite the country being moved to amber status. The budget airline recommenced flights to holiday destinations on 28th May after cancelling all services from Southend after the last one on 8th Jan. No other airline is using the airport so it has been devoid of flights since that date. Additional destinations are planned depending on COVID 19 restrictions
