The stem is of cylindrical rock-crystal, w^ith an elaborate hexagonal knop formed as archedniches with pinnacles and buttresses carrying the figures ofsaints, and the hexagonal loot is paneled and studded withjewels. The shaped spreading base has a pierced gallery.
