'Jugurtha came to the tent of his father-in-law unarmed', c1912 (1912). The Numidian chieftain Jugurtha fought a war against the Romans in 112-106 BC. He was betrayed by his father-in-law Bocchus, King of Mauretania. Visiting his tent unarmed Jugurtha was captured by soldiers. From The Story of Rome, by Mary MacGregor.
