It forms a dense rosette of somewhat fleshy leaves, from which spring the flowering stems, twelve fifteen and even twenty inches tall^ supporting three tiers or whorls of damty flowers of a delicate rosy-Ulac, with eye of pure gold. The flowers are not more than half and inch in diame- ter, but they are produced in such great abundance that a few plants present a dense mass of bloom, which continues without interrupt tion and with increasing vigor from September un- til June.
