Perspective of property entrance. Mews House, London, United Kingdom. Architect: studio carver , 2015.

This house is a single storey contained two bed flat. Replacing an old dilapidated workshop and garage, the new accommodation is carefully intergrated with its surroundings as it slots between adjacent properties. The design incorporates a small courtyard, and large, sculpted south facing roof lights. These provide excellent natural light while shielding the interior from overlooking views. A green sedum roof enhances biodiversity and character of the area, including rain water run off, and providing a delicate spectrum of changing colours though the year.
