Högfors is located about 7 km south of Norberg. Högfors mill with 2 blast furnaces, sintering plants, foundry, klensmedja, saw, mill m. Made pig iron and sawn timber products. 250 workers in the early 1930s. Owned by Högfors and Persbo AB. Was later taken over by Avesta Järngs AB. Industrial tracks are expired to Högfors and Persbo AB. The ironworks was built in 1539, closed down in 1953. Today there is the ruin after the last cabin built 1915-16.
