It is hoped that this type of burn will hereafter be practically ehmi-nated, and that the manufacture and use of mustard gas will nowcease for ever. The Care of the Skin Surrounding a Wound The care of the skin surrounding a wound is important, as its healthycondition means much in the healing process. If the skin is infected, orirritated, it is difficult to put the wound in a healthy condition, and inaddition the dressings are seldom comfortable. Irritation may be caused by wound secretions, by the drugs applied,or by the constant use of adhesive plaster in the same places.
