This new and most superb pot plant was sent us by Mr. William Trelease, director of the Missouri Botanical Gardens, at St. Louis- In sending it, his assistant, Mr. Adolf Jaenicke, says : "I pronounce this plant one of the best introductions of late years, and Mr. Trelease feels sure that when exhibited it will win the Shaw gold medal for a new introduction. It begins blooming in September and keeps on until ; The plant we had a year ago was cut freely for propagating and did not bloom until Christmas, but from that on until the middle of June it was one mass of the loveliest sky-blue blos- soms ever seen- Ourcutis a true photograph of the plant. Each blossom keeps perfect four or five weeks before fading. It certainlyattracted attention and praise as no new plant in our place ever did. It is a free, rapid grower, succeeding in any window. It delights in a rather cool atmosphere, and will do as well in partial shade as in full sun.
