The State law provides that the trustees shall have chargeof the experiment station, purchase land, erect buildings, and appointnecessary officers and assistants to conduct the experiments. Theby-laws of the trustees provide for five regular meetings each year,and the secretary is authorized to call a special meeting at any timeupon the written request of the president of the board.
