Utah, USA - June 2008; Arches National Park is famous for ... its natural rock arches. It lies north of Moab in the state of Utah. bordered by the Colorado River There are over 2,000 natural sandstone arches in the Park, as well as canyons, gulches, hoodoos and other scenic delights. The Park Avenue Trail, part of which is shown in this image, is one of the first major attractions within Arches National Park. It is a one-mile trail that follows the bottom of a canyon at the feet of some of the parkÕs immense and bizarre monoliths. But it is not exactly park-like, so I wonder how the name originated?
