Newly emerged Southern Hawker(Aeshna cyanea)


This is a large hawker dragonfly,which is usually solitary and flies from mid to late are marked bright green,becoming blue towards the tip of the abdomen,females lack the blue the first few days the body colours are paler than those of the mature flight season lasts from July to October.
