Araliya flower (Temple tree, Arali in Tamil, botanical name is Plumeria obtusa) originated in Central Today, Araliya is the most common and elegant flower we can see all over the island. Some believe Araliya flowers are in Sigiriya frescos, and if it`s true, Araliya must be one of the oldest common flowers in Sri Lankan culture.
