Burst water pipe. Image 1 of 2. The pipe has burst as the water inside it froze. Water expands as it turns from water to ice, and this can cause immense damage to plumbing and other structures. When the water melts, it will flow out of the burst pipe and flood the surrounding area, as seen in E160/208.
