Open claw of bird of prey, mounted on wooden ball base with Arabic coin (Hijri date 1371, 1951 in Gregorian calendar), bearing pentagram, stuck to centre of claw. 17 cms in height. c. 1950s, or older in part. Thought to have been used in the process of invoking djinn by bating them into a trap.
