In this image, Sgt. L. P. Morper is captured operating the Papham Panel System during World War One. The panel, seen in combination with figures 2-4-5, was used by the 80th Division's Company B (wire) 305th Field Signal Battalion. This system allowed for coded messages of up to twenty words.
