The floating of krathongs during Loy Krathong Festival at Wat Buddhapadipa Temple, Wimbledon, London

Loi Krathong is a popular Thai festival held on the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. In Thai "Loy" means to float and "Krathong" is a word for a small circular raft made of banana leaves, flowers, a candle and incense sticks. It has been celebrated for centuries and today it’s one of the biggest festivals in Thailand. In November the London Thai community and their friends celebrate this day at the grounds of Wat Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon, South London. It has nice and friendly atmosphere and is attended by hundreds of visitors
