PAYIUOM In the operating department of GraceHospital, Detroit (Fig. 71), there arethree rooms for clean surgery, besidesthe septic, surgical dressing, and plasterrooms. The surgeons locker and dress-ing rooms are outside the clean portionof the department. Here the room forscrubbing up is not connected with thelocker room. There is a large sterilizingroom and a larger room for the nurseswork of preparation; also an instrumentroom where each surgeon has his owncompartment in the instrument case, etc. The operating building of the Yoimgs-tozvn Hospital (Fig. 74), Youngstown, is two stories in height, and is dividedinto two sections—the accident and theoperating proper. the operating corridor.
