Relief of Ramesses IX, New Kingdom, Ramesside, Dynasty 20, ca. 1126–1108 , From Egypt, Limestone, H. 45 cm (17 11/16 in); w. 57 cm (22 7/16 in), Ramesses IX is shown seated at left within a shrine, facing a hymn of praise in his honor. The inscription likens the king to the creator gods Ra and Khnum. The rather summary carrying of the stela and the uneven phrasing of the text illustrate the decline of Ramesside art in the late 20th Dynasty
