Another child was given a pair of black pants,—mi-ki-u-la, — and, expressing his unbounded delightin them, the name was given to him. It sticks, andwill stick until some important and striking eventhappening in his life suggests a change. Some of the elders thus have several names, as hasVesna, who is also called I/jv/t,/;/, i(S;, /y George Wharton James Man-a-ka-cha, present Kohot, orChief of Havasupais.
