Apollo 11 photograph of full moon. The large dark circular area (near centre photo) is the Mare Crisium. The circular dark areas below & right of this are Mare Smythii (lower) & Mare Marginis (upper). On the left side of the picture the large irregularly shaped dark regions are Mare Serenitatis (top left), Mare Tranquillitatis (middle left) & Mare Fecunditatis (near centre photo). On the bottom right edge of Fecunditatis is the bright circular crater Langrenus & on the left side is the dark circular patch of Mare Nectaris. Also shown in the photo are two large craters with bright rays radiating from them (bottom & top right edges of moon).
