OF W HOPKINS, FLORA E. J. Maher and his family in the death of hisfather, James Maher, who was employed on theC. H. & D. for over fifty years. He waspensioned a year ago. retiring; from activeservice because of the illness that resulted inhis death on January 30. Interment was atHamilton, Ohio, on February 2. The floralofferings were many and beautiful and thefuneral was largely attended by the fraternalorganizations with which Mr. Maher wasaffiliated. Mr. Maher was one of the oldest employes onthe C. H. <fe D., and had a continuous servicerecord extending from 1861 until the time hewas pensioned. He boasted of many the officials.
