Poor man's cycad (Encephalartos villosus) bearing seeds (red). This is a dwarf cycad that only grows to a height of around half a metre. The female and male plants both produce cones, with fertilised female cones producing red seeds. This cycad is found in forests in parts of South Africa. The seeds provide food for several species of birds. This cycad is also a popular garden plant.
