Garnet RnsBra2(SiOJa Garnet is an orthosilicate of the general formula RII3RIII2 (Si04)3 in which Rn may be calcium, magnesium, ferrous iron, or manganese and R111 aluminium, ferric iron or chromium, rarely titanium.
