When you are happy and you know it hop around UK ADORABLE IMAGES of the cutest roe deer skipping away on a farm in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire, were captured on January 28. The images show the young adult roe deer leaping while sticking its tongue out as if in celebration. Just like the red deer, the roe deer is the UK’s native deer species. By the 19th century, roe deer had disappeared from most of the UK, surviving only in Scotland and isolated pockets elsewhere. Reintroductions from Europe and positive habitat change helped the species recover, and it is now abundant. These lovely images were snapped by British wildlife photographer Talvinder Chohan (41) with a Canon EOS R5 camera and a 400mm lens. “This was such a surreal experience. I initially noticed this deer hopping about 230 feet away from me and started snapping its pictures,” he said. “But then it kept running in my direction, and I was shocked because this is a very shy deer species, so I assumed it hadn’t noticed me. “It was amazing watching him run directly towards me with his tongue hanging out and this goofy expression. “It was such a unique experience, so I just stood there and kept snapping its pictures. “Eventually, he spotted me and stopped, looked at me for a bit and then ran off in another direction. I came across him by chance, but I am so glad I did.” ENDs
