Saddled puffer fish. Saddled puffer fish (Canthigaster valentini) among corals on a reef. This fish inhabits the tropical seas of the Indo- Pacific region. It is omnivorous, feeding on algae, corals, molluscs, crabs and sponges. When threatened, it inflates itself with water to make itself appear larger. It also contains a potent poison in its organs.
