This is the case when first dug, and they retain their good cook-, ing qualities and keep sound and perfect! until the new crop comes again, being] equal to the Green Mountain on Ion keeping qualities. Never since I firsi] offered it have I been able to grow enough! to supply my trade, as the demand in-| creases from year to year. It is one of the most robust growers 1 have ever found,' putting up mammoth stalks nearly one inch in diameter, covered with dark green leaves with an abundance of white blos- soms ; and one strong recommendation is that my customers write that the bugs do not trouble them as much as other varie- ties.
