A smallelectric shunt-wound motor, of one-eighth ,furnishes the necessary motive power to drivethe file at 1200—2400 revolutions per min.,according to the pulley wheel used. Theserotational speeds correspond to peripheral speedsof 314 and (528 feet per minute, respectively.
