Uranus. Coloured Hubble space telescope (HST) infrared image of Uranus, showing clouds in its hydrogen and helium atmosphere. Clear atmosphere is blue, atmospheric haze is grey and high altitude haze is pink. Uranus' south pole (grey) is at centre left. Five high altitude clouds (orange spots) near the right edge are almost as large as continents on Earth. Uranus' rings are seen orbiting the planet. Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and has a radius four times that of Earth. Image taken by Hubble's Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS).
