RFA Largs Bay whilst in service with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary which supports the Royal Navy, Largs Bay was sold to the Royal Australian Navy where she is in service as HMAS Choules
RFA Largs Bay in the Baltic during NATO exercises. The Bay class of four which are operated by the British Royal Fleet Auxiliary are landing ship dock (LSD). Together with the two Albion-class Landing Platform Dock (LPD) they provide the Royal Navy with a significantly enhanced amphibious capability. RFA Largs Bay is a victim of the UK's 2010 Strategic Defence Review and will leave the RN with three Bay class.
