It isplanned to extend the service in the future to points on thecoast of Maine with regular interchange at the/Bostonstation. m The station has facilities for loading and unloading eleventeams at a time, and the tracks inside the building have atotal capacity of four cars, the yard tracks holding five platform along the greater portion of the teaming yard. Copps Hill Freight Terminal—Interior is 3 ft. 6 in. high, while on the track side it is 4 ft. abovethe pier, there being a slight ramp downward away fromthe cars toward the teaming space. The freight stationproper is illuminated by a monitor 8 ft. wide and 7 ft. highand by about thirty-two 16-cp lamps supplied from the Edi-son service and carried on the under sides of the rooftrusses. A set of Fairbanks scales with a capacity of IItons is located in the freight station. Hose connections and August iO, 1913. A drop light isinstalled over the scales, and the available depth of waterat the wharf is 18 ft. at low tide. From ten to fifteen truck-ers, loaders and helpers are required in the daily serviceof the station, the number of these depending upon the vol-ume of traffic handled. Perishable freight is kept either inthe foremans office or in a car during cold weat
